The major benefit of HD-CVI is that you can now get High Definition Surveillance recordings at an affordable price, due to the fact that HD-CVI is transmitted through standard coax and uses normal 12v DC power. This alone can potentially save you thousands of dollars in installation costs if you had to re-wire your buildings to Ethernet cable (which IP systems need). With HD-CVI, you can leave your cable and power in place and replace your analog cameras and DVR with HD-CVI cameras and an HD-CVI DVR. All of the connections are exactly the same!
